About Matthew Burton

Over the past eight years, I have been fortunate to pursue my passion for game development and design, resulting in the creation and publication of ten titles on the iOS and Google Play app stores. With a degree in Computer Systems from Maryville University in 2013, I began self-publishing games and mobile apps, which have been featured in IndieGame and "Stuff" Magazine. In 2016, I had the opportunity to join Pixel Press in St. Louis as a Software Developer, where I was privileged to work with clients like Mattel, Cartoon Network, and Disney/Star Wars. My contributions to the development of the educational software program "Bloxels" were recognized with the New York Toy Fair "Toy of the Year" award, and coverage in publications such as Kotaku and Polygon. At Webster University, I am grateful to be able to share my knowledge of game design, coding, and production through the Game Design Program. It is an honor to teach video game programming, Extended reality, emerging technologies, and team collaboration, and to help students achieve their own goals in this exciting field.Feel free to email me at M@ttBurton.com.
