I’m a Former California State Assembly Candidate, for the 49th Assembly District. I'm a Commissioner for the city of Arcadia since 2016.I'm a Retired Sergeant with the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department. I retired on October 30, 2017. (29 yrs)I was assigned to Sheriff's Information Bureau (S.I.B.) at the Hall of Justice in downtown Los Angeles. I was the sergeant in charge of our Social Media (E-Comm) & Film and Media Program. We were also part of our department's Press Information Officer (P.I.O.) for major incidents. I've been, Watch Commander, Watch Sergeant, Field Sergeant and (P.I.O.). I have been the content author of department's LASD Web Site, Facebook, Nixle and Twitter pages. I've assisted in instructing & supervising the Social Media Training classes for P.I.O’s. I've been the Uniformed Reserve/Explorers/Montrose Search and Rescue, and Volunteer Coordinator. I have responded to numerous Search and Rescue call outs, within Los Angeles County as well as statewide. Prior to LASD, I was a Reserve Officer with Monterey Park Police Dept. from 1982-1989, & an Arcadia Police Explorer/Cadet from 1977 to 1982. I was assigned to Temple Sheriff's Station (1991-2009) where I have been a Patrol Deputy, Traffic Investigator, Field Training Officer, & Motor Officer for Traffic Enforcement. I was also a Motor Instructor, a Motor Field Training Officer, & special projects motor.I started the Countywide "HAMWATCH" (Ham Radio) program in 1993.Specialties: Traffic Collisions investigator for over 26 years. Certified Traffic Investigator for LASD.F.C.C licensed radio operator (N6USO) & own numerous repeaters in Southern California. Emergency Communications and equipment Specialist.I am involved in numerous charity events for kids, as well as Law Enforcement charities (Baker to Vegas official since 1986).
