Designed packages and interfaced with ID to create copy for retail use as well as marketing tools. Also supported marketing efforts with computer rendered still images using Cinema4D software.ManufacturingProvided on-site support to China and Hong Kong for 6 weeks in 2009 for production and pre-production tooling revisions. Effectively managed multiple projects per trip to facilitate aggressive shipping schedules. Made quick tooling changes and reviewed tooling plans with vendors. Negotiated Mechanical Designs with factories on-site to reduce BOM cost as well as optimize ease of assembly. Coordinated all tooling changes as well as root-causing failures and eliminating defects from finished products.

RAZR 2 Cell Phone Product Line:Assumed responsibility for various components the phone including the keypad, USB connector, sheet metal contacts, battery label, and graphite heat spreaders. Each component / system required design changes, tolerance analysis, sourcing materials, factory assembly issues, and customer returned phones. Demonstrated leadership / communication skills by coordinating with other Motorola locations around the world. Traveled approximately 15% in 2007 to onsite factory in China.

Developed new manufacturing concepts to produce bone fixation medical implants. Utilized Solid Edge CAD Program for design work. Also provided machine layouts for factory floor space optimization.

Completed Research and development projects and designed custom fixation implants and surgical tools. Utilized Solid Edge CAD program. Designed and fabricated fixtures to allow fatigue tests on surgical implants in a saline bath.
