Aframe is a powerful video production service that makes searching, sharing and storing footage easy. Media is securely stored, you can share it with anyone and it’s tagged to make improve searching.Joining Aframe as part of the founding team, we took the company from 3 blokes above a soho knocking shop to a multinational employing 40+ staff across the UK and US. Three rounds of private and VC funding have seen Aframe raise just short of $10m, and is well on it's way to profitability and series B funding to scale out the business model. My role at Aframe was act as a bridge between all departments, from providing support to sales, through escalation point for the professional services team, to providing a media workflow and technical reference point to the development team.I also acted as the product owner within the Agile methodology (scrum) we employed for managing the product features and dev team workload.I architected the multisite distributed platform the Aframe product is deployed on. 3 of the 4 datacenter locations are 'lights out' (LA, NYC, and Durham), with careful hardware selection and fault tolerant designs enable minimal engineer intervention. The US sites have not been visited since their install over a year ago, with minor HDD or PSU issues being handled by handled easy by colo staff.
