I completed my second cycle degree in Pharmacy at Hacettepe University and I am currently pursuing my master's in Pharmacology at the same institution, where I am deepening my understanding of neuroscience.Prior to this, I gained valuable research experience at Karolinska Institutet's Translational Molecular Imaging Lab under the supervision of Dr. Amit Kumar. There, I honed my skills in brain imaging techniques, radioligand binding, immunohistochemistry, as well as Western blot and immunoblot analyses. Additionally, I developed a solid understanding of tauopathy biomarkers and PET biomarkers.During my bachelor's studies, I engaged as a Research Intern on a project focused on Alzheimer's Disease under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Pelin Kelicen Ugur, supported by the TÜBİTAK 2247-C Intern Researcher Scholarship Program. My bachelor thesis, also supervised by Prof. Dr. Pelin Kelicen Ugur, delved into exploring current approaches in Alzheimer's Disease treatment using nanoformulation applications. Furthermore, I had the opportunity to broaden my academic horizons as an Erasmus student at Padova University.In addition to my academic pursuits, I held the role of Vice President of the Turkish Pharmacists Association Youth Commission, representing over 15,000 pharmacy students from across Turkey. In this capacity, I was responsible for organizing health science-related congresses, fostering collaboration among students, and advocating for the interests of pharmacy students nationwide.With a steadfast dedication to advancing neuroscience research, my goal is to pursue a Ph.D., fueled by a profound passion to contribute to the understanding of neurodegenerative diseases and the development of innovative treatments.
