In 2021, I began to learn the C# programming language for a college assignment. A year later, I had designed and coded an entire video game prototype, with a unique premise, incredible depth and fascinating gameplay. The project came to be known as Dojo Storm: Pankration, and lead to the founding of Dusk Unit Studios.Dojo Storm is unlike the usual college project for a beginner. It is a simulator RPG, with 50022 lines of code, procedural generation and several cooperating systems. There are no plugins in the project. Every line of code is written and maintained by myself. In the last two years, I went from exploring the basics of Unity to learning everything about programming, UX design, balancing, quality assurance and dozens other complex tasks necessary for the production of a game.At the time of writing this Dojo Storm is approaching its Minimal Viable Product (Early Access) release. To achieve this result in just two years would be a source of pride to any indie team, let alone a one-man team lead by someone who had no experience with Unity, C# or Game Design only two years ago.
