-Develop and qualify process recipes for unique customer needs in Deep/Advanced Silicon Etch/DRIE, Oxide and Nitride Deposition and Etch (PECVD), III-V etch (GaN/GaAs/InGaN/AlGaN), Photomask Etch, and perform initial acceptance testing on site and final acceptance testing of Plasma-Therm units at customer sites-Improve Si Plasma Dicing product line to overcome limitations and challenges to increase etch rates/throughput, versatility-Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt trained, Design of experiments (DOE), 5S, FMEA, Root Cause Analysis, 8D problem solving-Participate in safety committees, manage projects, mentor lab assistants

Dissertation Research: Synthesis and characterization of polycrystalline ceria nanoparticles (and nanoceria supported metals) to measure antioxidant, redox potential and oxygen buffering capacity of ceria nanocrystals- A Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM) intensive study• Nanoparticle synthesis methods: wet precipitation, sol-gel peroxo, thermal decomposition/calcination and microemulsion• Characterization: TEM and ImageJ/GIMP, X-Ray Powder Diffraction (XRD) Rietveld Analyses, TEM Electron Diffraction and TEM Dark Field, X-Ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy (XPS) Spectrum Peak Fitting and TEM Electron Energy Loss Spectroscopy (EELS), Raman Spectroscopy, Dynamic Light Scattering (DLS), Brunauer–Emmett–Teller (BET) nitrogen gas adsorption, Redox methods and electrochemistry (cyclic voltammetry) Nanoscale/Semiconductor Metrology and Related Experience:• Extensive TEM characterization of nanomaterials: carbon nanotubes, and ceria, alumina, and silica Chemical Mechanical Planarization (CMP) slurries• Back End of Line (BEOL) processes- Damascence Cu electroplating, Cu microstructure characterization (grain size and dislocations) in Cu interconnects/trenches/metallization structures• Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM/EDS/EDX) and Environmental Scanning Electron Microscopy (ESEM) imaging of semiconducting and non-conducting samples• Focused Ion Beam (FIB) patterning of Pt contact lines, photonic emission lines and ion beam patterning on glass and Si substrates and familiarity with preparation of TEM lamellae and TOF-SIMS impurity detection• Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD)/Sputter deposition of conductive thin films • Lithography- photoresist spin coating, baking, and development
