In order to bring together our rapidly changing and growing multicultural community, ECCL commenced the Croydon St Markets in 2005. This provided an opportunity to showcase the culture and artistic talents of our diverse community as well as offering economic benefits for newly arrived migrants and refugees as they learn how to sell produce, food and crafts.Over the years, the number of stalls has increased to include a "Hot Food Court", where vendors prepare and cook delicous selections of foods from their own cultures onsite where customers can sit down to enjoy their meal at tables and chairs provided undercover, or taken home. The food court area has moved several times over the past years, and is now in the Station Road car park and known as "ECCL GLOBAL FOODS MARKETS" at the "WOODRIDGE TRAIN STATION MARKETS"These markets are open every Sunday from 6.00am to 1.00pm and entry is FREE. There is plenty of off-street parking available, and the trains, buses and taxis are right next door.
