I was appointed internally as Head of Contract Management to lead the operational delivery of the innovative Connected Car Programme covering two key elements, capturing of real-time car telemetry data to improve fuel charging accuracy (down to 0.5-litre accuracy) and creation/implementation of the new Avis App to deliver a vastly improved customer experience across choice, speed and transparency. Furthermore, I oversaw the roll-out of the connected car telemetry across 10 main European markets and I led the implementation of new operational processes across France, Benelux, Germany, Austria, Switzerland to allow the new App functionality to work correctly through improved training, awareness and operational procedures.Notable Accomplishments:• Successfully delivered i) incremental ROI with a demonstrated programme break-even by the end of 2019, six months ahead of plan ii) connection of a large part of the car fleet in France, Benelux, Germany, Switzerland, Spain and Italy to enable real-time telemetry to be fed into the Avis systems and utilised in several ways• Enhanced and secured the success of the programme by proactively leading complex C-Level stakeholder relationships and guiding Country Project Managers to drive local engagement

I was promoted to lead the €12m p.a Roadside Assistance Programme, with the principal focus of ensuring the standardisation of roadside assistance country contracts, where previously this was done at a local level with mixed results. This entailed implementing performance monitoring to improve customer service, previously rated as poor. Furthermore, in 2018 I was requested to provide oversight of the significant Wash & Clean spend across Europe (€65m pa) to gain visibility and control of the costs. I led a matrixed team across Supply Chain and Operations and verified accuracy of all P&L reportingNotable Accomplishments:• Successfully led the timely implementation of the Roadside Assistance Programme across 15 countries • Identified and exited a poor performing Spanish supplier, going to tender within three months to avoid disrupted roadside assistance; subsequently improving the quality of services and reducing costs by 22%• Designed/delivered the new industry-unique Cross-Border Roadside Assistance process, reducing customer complaints by 48% and improving services levels; additionally, several roadside suppliers sent Avis more rental business over competitors due to this improvement

I was promoted to the PEx role, tasked with identifying and delivering operational process improvement savings through business change, using Lean Six Sigma tools and methodologies. This entailed identifying/quantifying potential projects, facilitating workshops to examine root cause issues and creating/updating project documentation including storyboard, data analysis, stakeholder analysis, communication plans, training materials, operating procedures and performance monitoring.
