Pera Museum and Istanbul Research Institute are art and culture initiatives of Suna and İnan Kıraç Foundation, based in Istanbul, Turkey. In the crossover of all activities of the institutions, this position requires daily contact with the other departments and collaborators. As the Communication and Public Programming Coordinator, I report to the General Manager, and my job includes:- Functioning as the key contact between press and the institutions.- Working in collaboration with the PR agency; creating and implementing communication strategies for different sub-brands and different activities of both institutions; briefing, planning, and following up press releases and events; coordinating exhibition openings; preparing press materials and reporting.- Overseeing both institutions’ public and private calendars.- Writing and editing different texts to be used on the web and printed materials.- Organizing events: Press conferences, exhibition openings, artist and curator talks, performances, conferences, symposiums, concerts, parties, press dinners, etc. I am the key contact for collaborativeevents, and my responsibilities include all stages of the organization, from ideation to realization.
