Served as a key member of the organization at its inception and through formative start-up phases and activities. Led creative team on the engineering, development and design of the insulin pump and hand-held controller during the company's crucial visionary and strategic process.Provided leadership role for critical efforts in the overall design, development, production launch, and commercial introduction of Insulet's innovative medical system [a small wearable, disposable insulin pump wirelessly controlled with a PDA-like hand-held device] utilized for the discreet management of insulin delivery in the daily lives of people with diabetes.Familiar with mobile device platforms and exposure to the "Internet of Things" in the development of mobile-to-mobile applications, web-based solutions, and data sharing. Additionally, led and provided oversight of cross functional teams and efforts related to new product developments and expanding commercial market presence beyond US and into European countries and Canada.
