Note - This was formerly CareFusion which was purchased by BD in 2015.Oversaw all product engineering activities for the following 7 locations within the BDI Surgery and Peripheral Interventional segments: Mannford OK, Santo Domingo DR, St Louis MO, Vernon Hills IL, Cleveland OH, Warwick NJ, and Humacao PR. Current team comprises 45 engineers and 2 technicians.• Worked with business leaders to determine strategies including acquisition reviews, plant consolidation strategies for the business units, and strategy decisions that determine the best manufacturing location for each product line. • Worked with Engineering, Marketing, Sales, Operations, Quality and Manufacturing to determine strategic direction for our business.• Created a priority system to ensure project workloads in each of the 7 manufacturing locations were focused on the correct efforts. Leveraged talent on the team across all 7 locations to optimize project effectiveness.• Led Integration Activities related to my businesses for last three acquisitions (CareFusion in 2008, Becton Dickinson in 2015, and Bard in 2017). • Major projects included consolidation of Tucker, GA surgical instrument facility into St Louis facility ($6MM annual savings), vertical integration of PleurX bottle manufacturing in the Dominical Republic facility ($2.2MM annual savings), vertical integration of Anesthesia Kits into the Mannford, OK location ($1.6MM annual savings).

Took on engineering oversight responsibilities for newly acquired Denver Biomedical (2 additional engineers). Managed the engineering teams in 3 locations – Oklahoma, Santo Domingo, and Denver. The Denver operation was later consolidated into the Oklahoma and Santo Domingo operations.• Led the integration of Denver Biomedical into the Special Procedures business creating • Integration values exceeding $6M in standard cost reductions and $5M in tax savings.• Optimized manufacturing costs by reassessing the three manufacturing locations and shifting product lines to different locations in order to leverage core competencies from each facility. Applied Lean Six Sigma techniques in all facilities to reduce inventory, increase efficiencies, and optimize floor space.

Engineering Manager from 2002 to 2006 • Managed the engineering staff in the Mannford Oklahoma facility (9 engineers) and the Dominican Republic facility (8 engineers). • Managed the R&D budgets for both facilities and the manufacturing engineer budget from the Mannford facility. • Prioritized projects from each manufacturing facility and balanced these with projects generated from the Chicago R&D facility to ensure that both cost reduction and new product projects are completed in an optimal manner.

Senior R&D Engineer from 1998 to 2002• Managed the design, developed and implementation of 13 product revisions and 7 new products. Most significant was the implementation of the new patented LVC suction canister with over $10M in revenue in first 3 years.• Restructured the facility’s standards aligning suction canisters with the International Standards (ISO 10079-3).• Received 3 patents for new product designs.
