Advisor to CIO & Senior Manager, Information Management Services on all IM service delivery matters. Includes special projects.

Responsible for day-to-day management of MAF & NZFSA’s computer systems and related infrastructure of 2 data centres in Wellington & Auckland (260 Dell, HP & Compaq servers, 55 TB SAN), 9 regional offices, and approx 2,000 desktops & laptops. Includes:• IT infrastructure consultancy and advice to all internal IT resources, business units and external business partners• IT operational risk assessment, management & mitigation, including disaster recovery and business continuity advice• Monitoring and management of BAU IT operations (including backups, servers, disk subsystems, software licensing, documentation, processes)• Implementation / upgrade of infrastructural components for new business applications• Preparation, review & approval of changes• Resource management of change• Coordination & management of Infrastructure projects• Major (Priority 1 & 2) incident management• Develop and update IT operations policies• Manage and maintain operating relationships and manage delivery of service providers• Manage the design, building and maintenance of the physical IT environment• Infrastructure resource capacity monitoring & planning• ITIL methodology and process advice• Provide assistance and backup to the position of capacity/availability consultant, networks.
