I have over 8 years of professional experience in Gender, Health, Development and humanitarian work. With a background in Public Health and Community Development, I have been involved in design and implementation of Protection projects (GBV, SGBV, and FGM), Advocacy programs, Youth and Women Empowerment, Civic Leadership and Governance, Socio economic and political empowerment of women and girls, Nutrition, Health and HIV projects, Sexual Reproductive Health Rights and Water Sanitation and Hygiene.Technical skills amassed over years include: Project design, Budget development, Project Cycle management, Fundraising, Resource Mobilization, Gender assessments and analysis, Conflict Resolution and Mitigation Mechanisms, Engendered Monitoring and Evaluation, Social Impact Assessments, Gender programming in Emergencies.I’ve been honored as a champion of change and an exemplary leader by African Youth Leadership Forum .In 2017 , I emerged among the top 10 bold for change champions in Africa by Young African Women in Leadership . I am a recipient of the prestigious Zuri Innovation Award, as well as the 2017 Sustainability Innovation Award by My Little Big thing ~ Africa’s biggest Sustainability Innovation Challenge.I received the Ambitious Girls 254 Innovation Award in 2018 .In 2019 , I emerged the top in the Global Social Thinkers Contest run by #AshokaAfrica and #British Council .In 2021 I was recognized among the top 80 Equality champions in Kenya by the Kenyan Government under the National Gender and Equality Commission Usawa Awards and most recently in 2023 I received the DIAR award for Youth in Leadership.Born in Kenya ,I hold a Bachelors of Science in Public Health with Information Technology from Maseno University,a Certificate in Sustainability Leadership from the University of Cambridge and a Masters in Public Health, from AMREF International University.
