An accomplished attorney, Buzz has been involved in animal rescue for over 30 years. In 2003, Buzz walked away from his successful law practice to commit himself fully to helping companion animals and their relationship with humans. Even when he was a practicing lawyer, he had devoted many years to providing pro bon services to animal welfare organizations and issues including lecturing at the University of Pennsylvania on puppy mill and pit bull issues; being counsel to Work to Ride, volunteering at Team Nokota Horse Conservancy; fundraising on behalf of animal shelters, rescue organizations and animal advocates; and assisting organizations and vets who rescue and adopt animals. In 2007, he opened a boutique pet store, Buzzy’s Bow Wow Meow in suburban Philadelphia, a unique pet retail supermarket and companion animal education center that provided the highest quality natural, holistic, raw and organic pet food and products. The store was dedicated to enhancing relationships between people and animals, offering adoption services, meaningful events, seminars and educational resources to help humans and companion animals live happier, healthier lives together.Still wanting to have further impact, in 2010 Buzz created PACT for Animals, a champion of the Human-Animal Bond that gives peace of mind to hospital patients and military personnel by placing their pets in temporary foster homes until their owners can be reunited with the companion animals they love. Recently highlighted in O Magazine, PACT is the only active non-profit organization in the country providing this service, and it does so at absolutely no cost to the animal owner.
