I am blessed with a career that I truly love, a business partner that I trust and admire, and employees that care as much about our clients as I do. Prior to starting a consulting engineering design firm in 2000, I worked for various contractors designing, fabricating, and installing fire sprinkler systems. HVAC and plumbing design became my focus and I obtained my Mechanical Engineering degree in 2003 and became a registered Professional Engineer in 2007. Fire Protection has remained part of our firm’s expertise and in 2009 I obtained my registration as a Fire Protection Engineer.Over the years I have prepared designs for a wide variety of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems for many types of projects including educational, institutional, governmental, military, residential, commercial, and industrial. My daily responsibilities include project management, contract preparation, design, specification writing, submittal and shop drawing review, and site observation during construction. I have substantial experience in fire protection system design including layout, hydraulic calculations, construction techniques and site surveys.I take pride in the work product my firm produces and I strive to provide service of the highest quality.In my free time I greatly enjoy serving with ASHRAE, especially my involvement with Student Activities. Encouraging K-12 students to pursue careers related to STEM is something I am particularly passionate about. As important as gaining knowledge and advancing my own skills and talents has been, the most significant thing I've learned is that passing it on to the next generation is far more rewarding and meaningful. With the birth of twin boys in 2019, this mission has been amplified greatly in my life.
