* Tested all aspects of Egenera's products: enterprise-class, redundant Linux servers running Java-based management software to manage virtualized resources on bladed servers.* Led cross-engineering development team in designing and building a test automation framework using STAF and Java. This framework has become the foundation for all QA automation.* Built automated tests, created test plans, discovered and reported software and hardware defects, and worked with development engineers in fixing bugs. Debugged kernel crash-dumps using crash and/or kdb.- Wrote and maintained automated test suites using Java, Perl, Bash, and XML to test product software and hardware features. Wrote and maintained automated tools to assist in setup and configuration of data center. These tools are used daily and have become foundational for the entire engineering team.* Built online Test Case Management system to maintain and track execution of QA test cases. - Built online system to track and notify group of nightly test runs.* Maintained Linux servers housing QA services (shell accounts, ftp, http, nfs, samba) used in daily operations. Maintained QA CVS repository of all test tools and automated test cases. Maintained QA test kit, including nightly build system (GNU Make). Installed and maintained group wiki for online collaboration.
