As the Freshwater Policy Director at Audubon Great Lakes, I lead the development and implementation of policy strategies to protect and restore wetlands and their associated watersheds throughout the Great Lakes region. I graduated from St. Norbert College and have a strong background in policy analysis, government relations, and lobbying.Prior to joining Audubon, I worked as a Strategic Initiatives Advisor and a Legislative Liaison at the Wisconsin Department of Administration, where I conducted policy analytical activities, coordinated statewide initiatives, and served as the primary point of contact between the department and the legislature. I have extensive experience in working with legislators, agency staff, governors' offices, and interest groups on developing and implementing policies through the legislative and rulemaking processes. I am passionate about advancing environmental and social justice issues and bringing diverse perspectives and experiences to the team. I am skilled in writing position papers, communicating effectively one-on-one, doing media interviews and speaking about water policy to groups. I've also built bipartisan partnerships that have advocated for or against certain policy proposals, regulations or legislation. My work is firmly centered around advancing Audubon's issues and working with partners, regardless of party affiliation.
