Top of Funnel - Powering Contact Agent and Touring Forms- Optimized our regional premier agents API, used for determining advertising agents in a region, by utilizing background tasks. Achieved a 60% reduction in p50 latency (from 12.5ms to 5ms) and an 80% reduction in p99 latency (from 100ms to 20ms). This optimization led to an annual savings of $150k from reduced client-side rendering timeouts.- Led migration of a crucial component of the buyer-agent lead pipeline, responsible for determining the lead type for each property. This component, vital in supporting over $1B+ in company revenue, was migrated out of a monolith for better scalability, enabling other business areas to easily leverage this logic, and expanding the presence of "Contact agent" and "Request a tour" buttons throughout Zillow.- Engineered our federated GraphQL architecture for the submission of contact and touring leads, allowing for streamlined dependency caching and and clear separation of concerns for front-end clients. This significantly simplified client-side logic, eliminating years of tech debt and minimized the risk of discrepancies and bugs across web, android, and iOS platforms.- Designed a scalable system for backend-driven clickstream events across contact agent and touring form flows. Led corrective actions on 50+ inconsistent analytic touchpoints, thereby refining data-driven decisions and machine learning models that personalize form experiences for home buyers.
