If you want to go far, go together.”Hi, I’m Bre’Anna Washington-Weatherford, lovingly known as Bee my mission is to bring more diverse books into the hands of our community and especially our children. My work as an author-illustrator and art educator serves as a vehicle for lasting literary change. . With extensive experience in community relations, teaching, curriculum design, digital art, and self-publishing, I leverage my creativity to support and inspire others in meaningful and engaging ways.I serve as the co-coordinator and lead educator of The Mint Museum Grier Heights Youth Arts Program the longest running afterschool enrichment program in the community at 19 years and counting. The same afterschool program that inspired me to continue to pursue arts and use it as a vehicle for inspiration and transformation.I earned my Bachelor of Arts in History and a minor in Africana Studies.My work has been featured in museums, publications, and schools across the East Coast, and I am always humbled to be invited to speak about my craft.
