In my role of Executive Director of Social Media, I manage a mix of community management, content development, data analysis, and social strategy development and implementation. Responsibilities and achievements over the last seven years include:- Managed the campus wide migration of hundreds of social media accounts from College to University after the change in institution designation.- Co-created and implemented a multi-year social media plan tied to strategic objectives of the University including enrollment, awareness, and community engagement. - Managed and updated all main University accounts (currently @StJoesNY, formerly @SJCNY) with an eye on platform changes and new tools.- Performed an in-depth audit of all social media activity at the University. Documented findings helped drive strategic social decisions including a revamp of high profile accounts.- Developed comprehensive social media listening strategies using Hootsuite enabling the University to be less reactionary and more proactive.- Grew social following by 85% and generated over millions of social impressions for the University while undertaking a complete shift to a more conversational social tone.- Introduced and supported social media advertising efforts for the Admissions Office and SJC Online campus including Facebook and Instagram lead generation ads, Snapchat strategies, and more.- Developed monthly and yearly social data tracking mechanisms and used data to make strategic decisions about social content, platform use, and account optimizations.- Leveraged user generated content for inclusion on the University web site, blog posts, and other marketing materials.- Frequent speaker on the topic of social media at regional events, meetings, and SJNY community outreach programs.
