* Designed and analyzed an airborne electro-mechanical positioning gimbal to meet a stringent weight requirement of 26 pounds by implementing design for manufacturability and finite element analysis (FEA) optimization techniques.* Performed FAA environmental testing including shock and random vibration ensuring 15 electro-mechanical positioning gimbals would successfully operate and survive without damage on an airborne platform.* Coordinated with Organization Designation Authorizations (ODA) and/or Designated Engineering Representatives (DERs) to achieve successful FAA qualification of airborne products.* Engineered an electro-mechanical positioning gimbal utilizing SolidWorks and heavy-weight shock testing per MIL-S-901 and MIL-STD-167 to successfully deploy approximately 32 systems on various classes of naval vessels including aircraft carriers.* Conceptualized all structural and electro-mechanical components for a positioning gimbal assembly in order to successfully pass shock and vibration testing per RTCA-DO-160 requirements. Achieved the formation of a new business unit dedicated to developing mobile communications platforms for broadband internet access. Over 600 units shipped thus far.* Analyzed dynamic environments using FEMAP/NX Nastran finite element analyses software to successfully deploy hundreds of electro-mechanical positioning gimbals that survive without damage in shock, random vibration and seismic environments with accelerations as high as 20 GRMS.* Analyzed static environments using FEMAP/NX Nastran finite element analyses software to successfully deploy hundreds of electro-mechanical positioning gimbals that survive without damage in wind speeds as high as 150 mph.* Designed, analyzed and tested electronics packages for short-duration, high-level shock and vibration environments typically found in spacecraft launches. This was demonstrated in a successful deployment to orbit.

* Managed all aspects of Earth station satellite antenna development projects from conception through product launch.* Lead a team of designers, draftsmen and support personnel in the product development effort* Created extensive project schedules using MS Project software and managed projects through SAP Business Solution software.* Conducted extensive structural and thermal analysis on antenna structures with finite element analysis techniques and ANSYS software. All structural analyses were static.
