About Bruce Carr

I have 19 years of experience in the games\technology industry and have had the opportunity to work at several companies of varying size and in multiple departments. I thoroughly enjoy working in the games industry and love the people I have had the opportunity to work with over the years.I have 10 years of experience as a Software Tester (STE and SDET) in the Microsoft Games Studios as both a contractor and as a full-time employee. I have worked with both third party and internal developers and have worked on teams of varying size, from owning 4 or 5 Campaign levels to owning major features sets and having direct reports on major launch titles. My testing experience at Microsoft spanned both console and PC projects.I spent 5 years at Screenlife, initially as a tester but then moving to an Associate Producer position for games and taking on Producer responsibilities for marketing projects. I have worked on multiple projects concurrently that ranged in size from one day exercises to mutli-year projects. I have had the opportunity to work with first, second and third party clients and have learned something new from each one of the experiences. I worked on marketing projects that range from Video on Demand segments that showcase Screenlife products to In Flight Programming on American Airlines. Both of these projects have reached millions of viewers and have had a lasting positive impact on promoting our products. My past 4 years have been spend working onsite at Oculus in Seattle, WA as an embedded QA Engineer (2 years) with a focus on prototype games, apps and hardware testing. I am currently the Marketing Technical Producer (1.5 years) for the Oculus Rift and Oculus Go Retail Demo programs that are live in over 400 retailers globally. My experiences, shown below, are displayed in an additive way, meaning that I attempted to only add new experiences as I added new positions. This does not mean that the previous experiences did not occur in the later position.
