At Indeed, I work remotely as part of a distributed group that integrates our automated skills assessment product (indeedassessments.com) into Indeed’s core employer and jobseeker products. Our goal is to help jobseekers showcase their skills to employers and for employers to quickly find high-quality candidates when posting a job. My role is to lead design, implementation, and delivery of complex projects that span across teams and groups.

Joined OpenTable through acquisition. Grew the original Quickcue team to become key partners with product, support, and other engineering groups. Helped launch OpenTable’s new global product line, scale its communications platform, and improve its technical infrastructure.

Helped design and deliver Quickcue, a hospitality and table management application in the restaurant space. Partnered with product and sales teams to prioritize development, facilitated delivery, and fostered agile development methodology to grow the business and the team through several rounds of funding and acquisition by OpenTable. Contributed iPad-based, offline-first, multi-writer data synchronization framework to the platform.

Helped found and organize DevChatt, a free, technology focused un-conference and expo for software developers, engineers, technologists and technology enthusiasts in Chattanooga, TN.

Created OS X and Windows apps for CX, a cloud-based content storage and discovery startup. Shared file synchronization across platforms by embedding a Python interpreter into native runtimes. Organized engineering team and faciliated communication with product and executive teams to deliver an MVP under tight deadline.

Bootstrapped the effort to add product development to Medium's core business. Within the first year, launched four startup products: NextRoom, an app for coordinating meeting rooms at medical offices; MarkUp, a browser plugin for drawing notes on any website; Relay, a pub/sub solution for cloud-based apps; Showoff, a tunneling/reverse-proxy app to connect local application development environments to demos.

Created content management system with unique data inheritance model and multi-author versioning and publishing capabilities to make building and maintaining client sites more effient and scale the business.

Administered FreeBSD servers, email, web hosting, and DNS for this regional internet service provider. Assisted with tier-2 technical support issues. Contributed to development of account management and billing automation tools.
