About Brooke Wetherill
I am currently a biomedical engineering masters student at the University of Michigan. My passion lies in the realms of regenerative technology, biomechanics, and the design and development of biomedical devices. I am a member of the Rehabilitation Biomechanics Laboratory (RBL) at the University of Michigan, where our research focuses on exploring musculature dynamics in transfemoral amputees to reduce their risk of falls. I graduated from the University of Michigan-Dearborn, where I earned a bachlor's degree in bioengineering. During my time at UMD, I worked on a research project to study the capillary blood flow in diabetic patients. My academic journey is complemented by active involvement in the Biomedical Engineering Society, the Society of Women in Engineering, and my participation on the volleyball team at UMD.
