About Bart Jacobs

No day is the same for me as a communications consultant for the Port of Rotterdam Authority. There is always news in Europe's biggest port and within our organization there is constant action. Port projects are diverse and complex: as Port Authority we have te deal with many parties (customers, authorities, neighbors, etc.) that have have different interests very often. That makes my job great fun every day! At the Port of Rotterdam Authority I get the freedom to shape communication in the best possible way. It is wonderful to be active for the entire port!Creative, curious, enthusiastic and practical. With these words characterize my colleagues me often. They say that I easily pick up the right signals and come directly to the point. I immediately make communicative translations to the audience (big or small) and I am comfortable to deal with. Combined with my years of experience in communicating in the complex port environment, these qualities make me a professional with considerable added value. I am familiar with almost all forms of communication (from recruitment to crisis communication and from staff magazines to coaching managers) but have a great fondness for internal communication and change communication.
