Coordinated the program including facilitating the proposal selection process, administering grants, planning and conducting public outreach and initiating partnerships to better involve traditionally underserved communities. Tracked program metrics in the City’s database system and wrote two annual program reports. Planned and facilitated public workshops and presentations, developed outreach materials, coordinated contract development, processed grant reimbursements and presented to City Council.

Conducted regional analysis and mapping to identify potential lots for development. Researched and reported demographic and market factors. Drafted final report sections and led report layout and creation of charts and maps. Engaged with professionals and opinion leaders. Facilitated presentations and open houses and supported creation of a community advisory committee. Hacienda CDC initiated development of a Latino-themed public market to catalyze economic opportunity for minority entrepreneurs and to anchor neighborhood redevelopment. A Portland State University Masters of Urban and Regional Planning workshop team partnered with Hacienda to spearhead early development of the Mercado. The project was awarded the 2012 AICP Student Award for Application of the Planning Process. The Mercado opens in 2015 in SE Portland.

Provided waste minimization research, program implementation and outreach consulting services to agencies throughout the Portland region. Select project experience includes: PDX Recycles! ProgramPort of Portland, 2008 – 2009Tracked and reported waste and recycling metrics and program activities for all Port facilities, including charts and graphics. Provided behavioral research design and implementation, outreach materials messaging and production. Researched and made recommendations on green cleaning BMPs for janitorial contracting. Multifamily Recycling ProgramPortland Bureau of Planning Sustainability, 2007 –2008Provided day-to-day management of field activities including data collection, outreach and technical assistance. Conducted public workshops, provided customer service to property managers and owners and made site visits for enforcement of Portland garbage and recycling code.Troutdale Recycle at Work OutreachMetro and City of Troutdale, 2008 – 2009 Conducted door to door outreach to businesses and created individual business recycling plans.
