Health Services Research PhD studies focusing on outcomes and evaluation at the Institute of Health Policy, Management & Evaluation. Aiming to humanize global health through organizational learning, engagement, fair partnership, and ethical policies and practices.

Co-developing the Human Engagement Learning Platform (HELP) for Global Health, with the aim to assist global health organizations translate ethical intentions into policy and practice through research, workshops, training, online courses, and consulting services.- Led two qualitative investigations of declining mass drug administration coverage for lymphatic filariasis (LF) in Port-au-Prince and Léogâne, Haiti- Managed a research project, funded by a Grand Challenges Explorations grant under the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, to explore how the Research Fairness Initiative (a 36-indicator framework) may be modified and utilized as a tool to improve health campaign effectiveness - Collaborated with colleagues at The Carter Center, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and the Task Force for Global Health to on implementing innovative community and stakeholder engagement-centered research approaches

Conducting research under Dr. Matthew Freeman of the Rollins School of Public Health's Environmental Health Department, including literature reviews, qualitative data analysis, and developing, managing, and analyzing the results from a 270-household survey.

Community Health Volunteer in rural Paraguay, coordinating grassroots projects on: HIV/AIDS awareness and prevention, pregnant women and newborn health promotion, nutrition and healthy cooking education, life skills education for youth, women's empowerment, and English classes. Languages Spoken: Proficient in Spanish, and conversational in the local language of Guaraní.

Assisting in the planning and carrying out of FDA-regulated microbiological studies. Tasks included writing study guides, scheduling testing dates, ordering testing materials, analyzing results data, and compiling a final report.

Working for an FDA-Regulated laboratory testing the effectiveness of newly-developed anti-bacterial products. Skills Gained: basic microbiology skills including sterile technique, gram-staining and microscope use in bacteria identification, use of laminar flow hood, and pipette technique. Exposure to working with many strains of bacteria, including anaerobic and cyst-producing strains, as well as some fungi and yeast.Some Clinical Lab and Virology Lab experience.

Conducting research on the transfer of drug-resistance genes via plasmids in the laboratory of Dr. Eva Top at the University of Idaho for a 10-week fellowship program.
