Current• responsible for supervising the operation and maintenance of the Aquarium’s HVAC, electrical, gas, fire prevention/protection, storm, salinity and domestic water infrastructure• ensure a safe and quality guest experience is achieved in a timely completion of items relating to the routine Quality Insurance Inspections• maintains a facility wide preventative maintenance program for all the Aquarium’s HVAC systems to include but not limited to boilers, hot water heaters/heat… Show more • responsible for supervising the operation and maintenance of the Aquarium’s HVAC, electrical, gas, fire prevention/protection, storm, salinity and domestic water infrastructure• ensure a safe and quality guest experience is achieved in a timely completion of items relating to the routine Quality Insurance Inspections• maintains a facility wide preventative maintenance program for all the Aquarium’s HVAC systems to include but not limited to boilers, hot water heaters/heat exchangers, circulator pumps, ductwork, and condenser pumps• maintains a facility wide preventative maintenance program for the aquariums entire Utility and Fire Prevention/Protection infrastructure to include sprinkler systems, fire extinguishers, sewage eject or systems, emergency generators emergency lighting, exit signs, high and low voltage switchgear• visual inspections of equipment at regular intervals to prevent and/or detect malfunctions or need for repair or adjustments or maintenance work. Ensures the prescribed maintenance, adjustments, and/or repairs made in a timely and proactive manner• visual inspections of building envelope systems at regular intervals to evaluate conditions and determine necessary repairs. Ensures the prescribe maintenance adjustments and/or repairs are made in a timely proactive manner• works closely with Director of Plant Engineering to develop short and long-term operating and capital funding plans for Plant Engineering Department• establish and maintain effective working relationships within and between operations staff, all NY aquarium and WCS departments, New York City departments, contractors and vendors• maintains a Preventative Maintenance Program for the aquariums fleet to include but not limited to electric carts, forklift, skid steer loader‘s and trucks• provide training to personnel on all aspects related to facilities maintenance and operations Show less
