In this role I'm responsible for driving the technical growth of the organization as we scale into the future. I also mentor and coach our development team as we make the migration from a monolithic web application to a microservice architecture with React.js front end. I manage our AWS Infrastructure that utilizes Fargate ECS, EC2, S3, Aurora RDS, IAM, Elasticache Redis, Lambda, and more. With the technologies implemented, we're able to achieve 99.99% yearly uptime across all of our services.

Leading, mentoring, and coaching a team of knowledgeable developers who are responsible for our Cloud Infrastructure (primarily AWS). We are driving innovation to our evolving web applications, while ensuring we have the most reliable and robust websites in the industry!Accomplishments:-Converted about 60% of our website into a microservice style back-end as we prepare to fully convert our web architecture to a Javascript based front-end with a Laravel based back-end. This was done to increase scalability as we grow our userbase.-Converted our single RDS database instance into an Aurora RDS Cluster, increasing stability and redundancy while driving down RDS costs.Responsible for ensuring planned work is completing by utilizing Agile project management and lean management processes. Influences strategic initiatives for the whole web team by looking for opportunities that increases developer efficiency, website performance, and reliability.

Biggest Accomplishments:-Assisted our cloud consultant with migrating our web application to a Dockerized application in AWS, and became the dedicated in house engineer for our AWS infrastructure.-Integrated Redis into our less dynamic pages reducing load on our back-end systems, increasing stability to handle over 1000 concurrent users, and driving our average request latency from 500ms to 200ms.-Completely rebuilt our product filtering pages by creating a custom API backend with a Javascript enhanced front end that gave the user a "React-like" feel (lazy loading results when there is customer input).-Built a backend "My Account" system that gave our customers visibility into their orders and other custom content they provide.-Spearheaded the UI redesign of 2 of our major divisions increasing usability and attractiveness.

Worked with Cisco switches in a corporate network environment, helped with updates to bring the network into compliancy, and moved 3rd party camera system off the main Nestle network onto its own network. Worked on simple Python scripts to gather network information.
