In this role I am responsible for:• Underwriting new UK business and existing UK schemes up to 500 lives.• Underwriting new UK business and existing UK schemes over 500 lives, subject to reinsurer approval.• Acting as a point of contact for intermediary queries, feedback and additional requests.• Communicating and negotiating with the reinsurer to secure profitable terms.• Working with Sales and Administration teams to deliver a consistent high level of customer service, win and retain business.• Training of junior underwriting colleagues and peer review of their work outside of their authority.• Pricing of overseas reinsurance business.• Underwriting new overseas business and existing overseas business (non-reinsurance business).Current additional voluntary responsibilities:• Employee Working Group representative.• Fire Marshall.

In this role I was responsible for:• Underwriting new UK business and existing UK schemes starting at 20 lives in 2014, increasing to 250 by 2016.• Underwriting new UK business and existing UK scheme over 250 lives, subject to peer review.• Acting as a point of contact for intermediary queries, feedback and additional requests.• Working with Sales and Administration teams to deliver a consistent high level of customer service, win and retain business.• Training junior quotation department colleagues.• Ad-hoc continuation of Quotation Clerk duties up to 2016.

In this role I was responsible for:• Managing the receipt, logging and deadline setting of quotation requests.• Accurately populating quotation model with benefit basis and membership data.• Presenting quotations to the scheme underwriting team well within the prescribed deadline date.• Acting as first point of contact for intermediary queries, feedback and additional requests.• Training junior quotation department colleagues.
