Byeonghee Yun is a distinguished chartered façade engineer with over 27 years of extensive experience in the field. He specialises in façade and window design, fabrication optimisation, logistics construction planning, structural glass engineering, environmental engineering integration, and computational design. Byeonghee earned his MSc in Façade Engineering from the Centre for Window and Cladding Technology at the University of Bath in the UK in 2003, where he completed his dissertation on "A Compact Double Skin Façade for Tall Buildings". Throughout his career, Byeonghee has led numerous façade research and development projects at LX Hausys. At Samsung, he has worked on high-rise and mega-developments across various countries, including Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Singapore, India, China, Russia, Hong Kong, and Korea. His profound understanding of façade technologies, combined with practical project experience, allows him to effectively meet the diverse objectives of global clients and deliver innovative engineering solutions.From 2014 to 2020, he served at BuroHappold, where he was responsible for the façade engineering of significant projects such as the XRL West Kowloon Terminus in Hong Kong and the Incheon Airport Phase 3 Passenger Terminal 2 in Korea. He also led the façade group in Hong Kong, overseeing operations in the Asia market. Byeonghee's emphasis on integrated façade engineering and his international expertise enable him to design iconic claddings and tall building façades with remarkable precision. Since 2020, Byeonghee has returned to Korea to establish his own business, where he is currently leading projects including the Hana Group's new headquarters, Hyundai Shinsa Gallery, and consulting for the Busan Opera House. His comprehensive experience working with façade contractors, main contractors, and as a façade consultant provides him with a holistic perspective on the industry, allowing him to manage all aspects of façade engineering effectively.
