As a result, I reduced SM turnover from 58% in FY '21 to 27% in FY '22. To date, SM turnover is currently at 0% in FY '23.By concentrating on training and development, I have always maintained a reduction of critical store staffing to less than 5%. In addition, by utilizing the CBL compliance report and ensuring all new-hire training is completed within the first week, I'm leading the region at 95% in staffing compliance.

In this role I’ve achieved massive shrink improvements (170 bps despite a turnover of 2 SMs prior to ownership and only 6 months of ownership prior to inventory), and sales of over $1.5 Million (up 3.3% over LY, 2020). After earning my Training Store Manager certification in April of 2021. I successfully trained two ASMs to take over the role of SMs in their own independent stores.Under the pillar of captainship, fresh has seen marked improvements though in-stocks and sales increases. Additionally, customer satisfaction has seen increasingly higher scores through my methods of associate training and process of driving initiative.

The Store Manager is responsible for setting goals in order to uphold brand standards, reach max sales goals, and lead employees in maintaining a successful store in a fast-paced retail environment. I started as a Department manager over Bakery/Deli. My responsibilities included date rotation of fresh goods and markdowns to reduce losses. I was also responsible for the ordering of supplies and materials needed for the week, and planning for holiday and special events which drove bakery goods. Upon transfer to another store I took on the role of Customer Support Manager for Marshall, TX. As a CSM, I was responsible for the evening closing shift, pulling drawers store wide and preparing it for the cash office. The majority of the job was keeping the register lines short, handling various customer complaints or problems and resolving them in a timely manner.In my last position with Walmart I was promoted to Support Manager of a new neighborhood format store in Diana, TX. Under this role, I reported directly to the Store manager and in their absence I operated the store as the acting manager. This included: following up on the execution of planograms, completing notes, receiving shipments, schedule editing, ordering merchandise and customer service.
