Responsible for the development and administration of the company’s environmental and sustainability strategic direction, policies and goals. Ensure resources, procedures and programs necessary to go beyond compliance with applicable environmental rules and regulations are in place and functioning appropriately and consistently throughout the company. Ensure company’s environmental strategic direction and goals are communicated, as appropriate, throughout the company and with company stakeholders.

Supervised and coordinated all engineering tasks for design-build and testing firm. Projects included air and water quality permitting, engineering oversight of tank and pipeline inspection activities, and general civil engineering. Served as licensed contractor and construction project manager for special projects. Key projects and accomplishments include:• Designed and constructed nitrogen oxides and volatile organic compounds Continuous Emissions Monitoring Systems (CEMS).• Directed design and engineering of jet fuel filtering, storage, and transport system including equipment selection as well as structural and hydraulic analyses.• Developed and implemented emission testing program including marketing and business development.• Managed the development and enhancement of innovative pollution prevention system to meet state regulatory requirements at a cumulative cost savings of millions of dollars as compared to alternatives.• Served as corporate safety officer overseeing construction projects. • Designed and supervised construction of various civil engineering projects including pump design, tank foundations and secondary containment systems for several fuel terminals.

Managed designers, environmental scientists, and technicians in activities including air, hazardous waste, and water permitting; site development engineering; air testing & monitoring; industrial hygiene; environmental audits; and special projects. Served as liaison between clients and regulatory agencies regarding testing and permitting issues. Prepared Spill Prevention Control & Countermeasures (SPCC) Plans and negotiated practical Title V air permits and National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permits for industrial facilities.Key projects and accomplishments include:-Coordinated Tampa Electric Co. Big Bend Station coal-fired power plant electrostatic precipitator efficiency studies including supervision of multiple stack test teams.-Managed ambient air monitoring networks for major utilities. -Conducted quarterly compliance audits on ambient air quality networks with sulfur dioxide analyzers, nitrogen oxides monitoring systems and total suspended particulate monitors.-Completed OSHA 40-hour Hazardous Waste Operations certification in 1994 with annual 8-hour refreshers. -Provided expert testimony regarding air pollution issues.-Conducted testing according to OSHA and NIOSH test methods to assure client and corporate compliance.-Developed, implemented, and maintained a computerized client management and project tracking database to ensure compliance with regulatory deadlines.-Negotiated record keeping requirements with USEPA and FDEP for several companies in the printing and coating industries resulting in > $100,000 per year in savings.-Responsible for oversight of emissions testing department specializing in testing for PM, NOx, SO2, acid mist, CO, mercury, and VOC.-Certified as visible emissions evaluator according to EPA Method 9 beginning in 1985.-Certified as asbestos surveyor according to AHERA standards. -Certified in wetland delineation (40-hr course) according to U.
