I was tasked with being the account manager for Santam which involved: - Development: In the following technologies: Winforms, SQL, ASP.NET, Javascript using TFS as our source control management solution. I was responsible with developing according to specifications from the client and internal requirements which also included assigning and monitoring tasks to junior developers. We develop according to Bugs, Feature & Enhancement requests. - Release: The full Release cycle of release to DEV, UAT & PROD. Release/ Change notes, test results, SQL deployment.Some of the larger projects I was involved with was:- Contract Clause Library: Creation of templates that allow the legal team to define Clauses, Definitions, Special Tags, Images, Optional & Alternate Clauses that then can be used to compile Contract Documents.- Account management interfacing with TIM/TAM: User registration, forgot password/username etc that interfaced with Santam’s TIM/TAM interface by means of SOAP Web Services - Online Claims Form: MVC website using Bootstrap for Hollard Namibia which allowed users to complete a full vehicle insurance claim online.

The project I am involved in, is the migration of an internally developed, enterprise scale ERP, used by over 100 branches globally to achieve organisational functions across multiple areas including: Finance, production scheduling, HR, logistics and catering to name a few. The migration is from the existing technologies of: a Microsoft Access and VBA User Interface, to a SOA using WPF and C# for the Client and Server layers.In order to get a sense of scale, beta testing carried out in just 7 branches over 7 days by over 11'000 users yielded just under 2 million requests served by the API. The migration project is exceptionally well structured in the following ways:- - Requirements: Fully specified in Gherkin with Balsamiq mockups for the UI- Project Management: Full agile methodology using TFS to control PBI’s and task management- Testing: TDD (test driven development) is followed where possible. Unit tests and acceptance tests to validate all critical Business Rules- Code Review: Code is always peer reviewed using Phabricator before it can be landed- Continuous Integration: Using Octopus Deploy, once the code has successfully built and passed all tests, it is continuously pushed to the customer.My key roles were:- Development: The migration consists of:• Coding the service layer (C#) which communicates to the SQL server, exposing JSON HTTP requests• Coding the client layer (C#) using strict MVVM pattern• Writing tests to exercise business logic• Code Review and Pair Programming sessions- Support: Debugging and development in SQL (SQL Server 2014), Microsoft Access and VBA

I developed algorithms for an automated baggage check in system, currently being used in Australia, Singapore, UK, and France to image in three dimensions and classify any object trying to be checked into the Baggage Handling System.I was also responsible for developing a virtual intrusion detection system to isolate the bagdrop from intrusion in both a safety perspective as well as a baggage-interference perspective.I was responsible for implementing the bulk of the front-end User Interface to complement the automated Baggage Check-In System, designed with a C# backend and Silverlight frontend, employing MVVM techniques.
