◆ I oversaw all aspects of the tax department (including activities, budgets, and personnel). I proactively responded to tax notices, which included researching the notice problem, reviewing filing discrepancies, and initiating corrective actions.◆ I prepared end-to-end validation/filing of quarterly tax data using MasterTax software to file quarterly payroll taxes in compliance with filing formats and deadlines. I was tasked to transmit daily ACH credits, ACH debits, checks, and the Electronic Federal Tax Payment System (EFTPS) remittances for tax payments. I prepared tax coupons, monthly returns, wage attachments, worksite reports, and new hire reports.◆ I was assigned to oversee banking activities and functions. I performed daily verification to reconcile operations and tax payment/collection files and resolve ACH & check positive pay warnings. I engaged in ACH positive pay rule management and uploaded positive pay files. I also oversaw payroll funding activities, which included wire drawdown and ACH batch initiation and authorization. I promptly resolved ACH rejections and correction notices. In addition, I assisted with Escheat processing. I provided a point of contact for coordinating the annual SOC and NACHA audits.◆ I directed various operational duties including confirming the transition of finalized payroll data to ancillary systems, the transmission of payroll ACH files, production of paper payroll checks, and verifying payroll liability funding. I was also tasked to prepare and transmit wage attachment ACH and paper check payments.◆ I engaged in various special projects. I oversaw calculation testing by developing hand-calculated sample data to compare with IT calculations to discern errors. I researched state withholding variables and calculated the state withholding calculator build. I was also tasked to lead the conversion from NetSuite to Sugar CRM systems. In addition, I oversaw the transition of the phone system from ShoreTel to RingCentral.
