I am a highly motivated, results-driven scientist that is fully capable of working both independently and as part of a diverse, multidisciplinary team. Throughout my graduate and postdoctoral career, I was instrumental in continuing to push the team's research into new areas, while quickly mastering new techniques and efficiently training/mentoring junior staff. My research has primarily focused on studying neuroimmune interactions in mouse models of disease employing a wide variety of techniques ranging from animal behavioral assays, tissue dissection, primary cell culture and cell-based assays, to cryosectioning, immunohistochemistry, confocal microscopy, and 3D image reconstruction and analysis. In addition, I have experience with isolation and maintenance of both primary neuron and immune (bone marrow) cells.
