Byron Kuth, FAIA is a LEED accredited architect and design principal of Kuth/Ranieri Architects. The innovative multi-disciplinary practice has been recognized with numerous awards at a regional, national and international level. Mr. Kuth holds degrees in Architecture and Fine Arts from the Rhode Island School of Design and has taught at the California College of the Arts (CCA), Harvard's GSD and as a Friedman Professor at UC Berkeley. Mr. Kuth launched the Deep Green Design Alliance (dgda), a collaborative think-tank that investigates the integration of ecology, technology and culture through visionary design solutions. His monograph, Kuth/Ranieri Architects, was published by Princeton Architectural Press and released in 2010.Mr. Kuth's dedication to design and education has defined his leadership roles within the community. He is Vice President of the LEF foundation for Art and the Environment and serves on the Board of Trustees at California College of the Arts. He has served on: The Steering Committee for the Center of Performing & Media Arts at San Francisco State University, Board Member of AIA Center for Art & Design, The Mayor’s Steering Committee for the Center for African Diaspora, President for the Board of Directors for Center of Critical Architecture, and as a member of the selection committee for the UCSF Mission Bay Campus Design with BALSA. Throughout his active community involvement, Mr. Kuth has supported green design initiatives in the fields of industrial design, textiles, architecture and public art.
