Emergency Management Specialist within the Security Operations Division of Jackson Financial Services. Primarily an internal consultant role with facility security management to ensure best practices were implemented throughout the organization.• Responsible for the revision of the company’s strategic level crisis management policy and the execution of a gap analysis across all three facilities to determine current level of compliance with the North American Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 1600 Code.• Lead member of security team responsible for the execution of a corporate wide risk assessment analysis.

Integrated with a team of multi-disciplinary professionals providing security services to the Western Area Power Administration (WAPA) at multiple sites throughout the western United States. Direct report to the Division Director of Laboratory Security with the primary task of leading the project of consolidating the protective force contract into the Protection Division of the Laboratory. • Participated in or led projects across the security spectrum to mitigate risks ranging from implementation of enhanced surveillance capabilities to mitigate vulnerabilities within the DOE Reservation to facilitating the implementation of new DOE Security Orders. • Conducted inspection/assessment of problem areas in personnel security and identified vulnerabilities related to visitor access. Provided multiple mitigation options for Laboratory leadership to choose from. • Played a key role in enabling communication between team members from multiple divisions within the Laboratory as well as other prime contractor stakeholders and strategic leadership resulting in a significant risk mitigation and cost savings for the organization.

Served as Operations Officer and Headquarters Commander for a unit of 1000 personnel. Tasked with securing the Navy’s strategic weapons arsenal.• Successfully planned and executed multiple strategic operations while ensuring the security mission was never compromised and mission readiness was maintained at a high state.• Lead Project Manager for multiple high visibility “no fail” inspections resulting in the unit receiving outstanding marks and validating our fully mission-capable rating.• Created notable improvement of the organization. Just two examples are the implementation of an Emergency Operations Center and a revised personnel watch rotation; both designed to increase our responsiveness to emergency situations while also increasing the morale of the force.

Designated as the Security Force Commander with responsibility of physical security for Camp Fallujah, the headquarters for the overall commander of Marine forces in Iraq and the primary base for over 5,000 personnel.• Developed comprehensive, cutting-edge training to prepare personnel for a myriad of situations still unclear prior to deployment overseas in order to ensure their survivability. • Eliminated the enemy’s indirect fire attacks originating from our security zone through utilization of the crisis action planning process; the result was complete elimination of the enemy threat, as well as the creation of a robust security posture with the ability to act faster than the enemy.
