I execute new technology deployments and well as perform the day to day maintenance and troubleshooting of our Data Center. I also serve as the City's Information Security Officer; maintaining security compliance, research and deployment of new security technologies, as well as incident and disaster response. I am the Data Center team lead overseeing the Data Center personnel. In addition to my regular duties, I provide support for other team members with Cisco technologies as well as Windows based support. I am the primary Email support for the City. Major projects completed: • Upgrade of VMware 5.5 environment to 6.0. Re-architectured to stand alone vCenters, PSCs, and Databases for two sites. • Migration from on-premise to a hybrid configuration with Office 365 EOL. Moved all user and shared mailboxes to the cloud and set up on-premise Exchange to handle anonymous SMTP. Also set up Directory Sync (and later migrated to Active Directory Cloud Connect.) • Replacement of existing backup solution with Veeam backup. As a Network Technician for the City of Franklin, I primarily provided desktop support to the users as well as completion of the hardware replacement cycle. I was also involved in the programming of Cisco Catalyst switches and structured cabling.
