I then proceeded to ABSA Private Bank to take on a fresh challenge of testing myself in a larger listed company. Looking after the R 1 000 000 plus portfolio which is essentially a similar role to what I did at Investec, except the role and portfolio type is new to ABSA Private Bank.

I joined Investec Private Bank in January 2005 where I started off as a business developer in the High Income Banking Division dealing with high income earning professionals. After one year I was asked to be a team leader in the High income banking division looking after a team of private bankers.In March 2006 I was asked to be the team leader and grow a new Division, Corporate Wealth, which focussed on the Private and Investment Banking requirement of top end earners in Major Listed Companies (e.g. CEO and CFO) and SME’s as well as top entrepreneurs with balance sheets in excess of R 25 million. Team started off with 1 employee and grown to a team of 7.
