• Represented veterans and their families before the U.S. Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims (CAVC). Appealed Board of Veterans’ Appeals decisions to the CAVC and served as lead counsel or co-counsel in more than 150 legal matters, obtaining favorable outcomes in over 95 percent of cases. Drafted briefs, amicus, motions, legal memoranda, and other legal documents under the CAVC’s rules. • Secured favorable settlements in over 130 cases, including a settlement that led to an award of over $63,000 in retroactive disability benefits and an increase in future benefits.• Attained favorable outcomes in over a dozen cases briefed before the CAVC, including several cases in which the Court reversed findings or determinations made by the Board of Veterans’ Appeals. • Co-authored NVLSP’s Veterans Benefits Manual, the leading treatise on veterans law, for the editions produced between 2019 and 2022. • Mentored new and experienced attorneys, including as part of The Veterans Consortium Pro Bono Program. • Presented continuing legal education seminars concerning the state of veterans law. • Served as a judge for the 2021 National Veterans Law Moot Court Competition.
