Byron Parson BiographyByron was born and raised in the Midwest and embraces its values and work ethic. His early years were greatly influenced by his involvement in scouting where he earned the rank of Eagle Scout. After graduating from high school with honors he was recruited by the Dean of the Florida A&M University Business School. During his college years Byron enjoyed public speaking competitions. He also thrived as director of a television program titled “Today’s Leaders Face Tomorrow’s” a “Face the Nation” type panel discussion featuring Fortune 500 CEO’s. Byron took internships with IBM, Melon Bank and the Florida Public Service Commission. He was interviewed and featured in Fortune Magazine as an up and coming business student before graduating Magna Cum Laude with a degree in Economics.After completing his B.S. degree Byron accepted a Banking Associate position with Continental Bank in Chicago. Years later he left a promising career in business and answered a calling into the ministry. There he rose from an intern to the Senior Pastor of a 3,500 member congregation. In time his leadership responsibilities extended to an 8 state affiliation of churches. Upon moving to California, Byron was involved in both church activities as well as several positions in sales. Prior to coming on with SMMA Insurance Byron served as Director of Business Development for a behavioral science company. There he opened the company’s Pasadena and Irvine offices being responsible for the offices sales and operations.Byron has spent much of his adult life motivating people to take actions to secure a better future for themselves and those they love. His association with SMMA has been a natural extension of his concern for others and their future. Presently I work with dozens of Soccer Sports Agents and Match Agents providing the Professional Liability Insurance required by FIFA for these agents to be licensed and represent players and teams.
