Key to Alexandra Park’s ongoing success is the construction of a significant master-planned urban village on a portion of the club’s land on Green Lane West.Key Achievements / Responsibilities• Management of finance, H&S, IT and property services departments, working closely with the CEO and providing financial support on key decision making.• Review and negotiation of tenant lease agreements.• Transformation of finance and IT functions with a focus on implementing reliable and modern software platforms to deliver growth and stability in the business operations. These included the implementation of the following systems, business intelligence, payroll and rostering, document management.• Identifying and implementing process improvements in finance functions, restructure of resource in the team to up-skill while reducing headcount, reduction in management reporting from 30 days to 5 working days.• Management of all finance processes from financial planning, to audit and year end reporting, and preparation of annual report.• Attendance at all board meetings including preparation of board papers presentation of financial data to members at the annual general meeting.• Assessing business risk and establishing processes to manage or eliminate these risks.

My role was primarily external audit, conversion to IFRS, and review of UK statutory accounts for a number of clients from manufacturing to car rental companies. I gained exposure to UK GAAP and PwC audit methodology and training.

The main clientele were publicly listed mineral exploration companies exploring for precious metals throughout the world and were raising funds through venture capitalists.I was in charge of the entire audit process from the planning stage right through to the finalisation of audit reports and meeting with audit committees.
