Dr Tracey M Benson is an Australian based interdisciplinary artist, UX designer, researcher and founder of Treecreate. She is passionate about more-than-human design and bridging the links between western ways of thinking with experiential and interconnected knowledge.With significant experience at the executive level in the public sector with roles focusing on strategy, communications, behavioural insights and online engagement, Tracey understands the context of government service delivery to citizens. She now works as a consultant through her social enterprise Treecreate, collaborating with community, public sector and education sectors.Tracey has extensive experience consulting and volunteering on projects co-led or led by First Nations and is currently active as a committee member of the Pumicestone Indigenous Education and Employment Council, an organisation focused on supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families living in the Pumicestone area on and around Yarun, Bribie Island in QLD.Creatively, Tracey works at the nexus of media arts, digital transformation, social science, ecological systems and citizen empowerment. Her work focuses on issues related to belonging, place, wellbeing and pro-environmental behaviour change. Her creative work has been extensively presented internationally in media arts festivals and exhibitions.
