I was brought on to oversee the Linux boundary SMTP services. I built and managed a dozen hardened servers that bridged the sensitive internal network with the public internet. I was responsible to ensure these servers and SMTP services were operating 24x7. I helped HP refine it's security policies for servers in DMZ network areas. I interviewed, hired and trained four other members that were brought onto my team when we needed to offer 24x7 support. I also built monitoring systems and wrote software to support our servers and provide our team with a performance dashboard.
