I'm an open-minded software engineer with over 14 years of experience and a hunger for learning new things.I best shine in an Individual Contributor role that can influence the overarching direction of the company but also allows me to get my hands dirty and design, develop and maintain solutions to make that dream possible.

Staff Software EngineerTaxdoo Jan 2024 - PresentRemoteAs a Staff Engineer at Taxdoo, my main focus is on executing multi-faceted projects that require close collaboration across multiple teams and stakeholders within the company. My most recent accomplishment was leading a data migration project where we swapped over from our in-house billing tool to a 3rd party off-the-shelf solution. -
Principal EngineerConjura Nov 2020 - Dec 2023RemoteConjura is a startup focusing on end-to-end eCommerce analytics for small-to-medium sized businesses. When I first joined back in November 2020, there were already plans for the company to move from a services-based consultancy into a full-fledged SaaS product, but the roadmap was still very much in flux at the time.I quickly identified all the bottlenecks that were holding us back from realizing that goal and took the initiative to build a 6-months long project to get us from A to B. I then lead the design and implementation of this project, mentoring and guiding my fellow engineers all the way through. After this, I started architecting our new system from scratch; a fully serverless, event-driven SaaS product, with an end-to-end data pipeline backing it. Similarly to the previous project, I've led the design and implementation of all the subsystems, going down to the nitty-gritty details like optimizing our headless BI tool, integrating the open source system, AirByte, into our serverless world, providing developer tooling and more.As a Principal Engineer, I worked on the most relevant issues at Conjura; be that firefighting, mentoring, leading projects, reviewing architecture designs, or building systems, it's a delicate balance that's tough to maintain, but extremely rewarding at the same time. -
Game Designer, Software EngineerSelf-Employed Oct 2016 - Apr 2022Wearing multiple hats, I'm working on my very own fast-paced multiplayer 2D action RPG game for mobile platforms. The working title of the game is Tales of Terinia- Eternal Struggle. It started out as a hobby, but it evolved into a part-time job essentially.I started working on Eternal Struggle back in 2016 after creating a strong foundation for the high-fantasy world, Ethoas, where the game plays out. I've done most of the work alone, including game design, client- and server-side engineering and infrastructure setup.Technologies include: Unity 3d (always latest), Java 15, Kotlin 1.3, Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker, GCP and more. I'm also exploring how I can utilise AWS GameLift and Lambda for better performance and scalability.I've been working with freelancers on and off to get art and voice acting into the game. The game itself is currently in pre-production, nearing its second phase, where my main focus will be on creating a community and marketing with a secondary focus on actual development.See below for an early stage, raw gameplay footage.

Senior Software EngineerKitman Labs Aug 2018 - Nov 2020Dublin, IrelandI moved to Dublin to join a smaller company as a multi-role engineer. Working on an amazing product and solving interesting challenges every day.Accomplishments- Dockerized all of our services and built a local development environment tool that can get our engineers up and running in mere minutes- Led and executed a project that is now a core feature of our product revolving around data analysis- Was heavily involved in a huge infrastructure migration project, paving the way for the company to gain ISO27001 certification and enabling us to follow AWS best practices- Worked on a project that required a lot of foundational changes to our product. This also involved the migration of tens of millions of data points from a poorly structured DynamoDB table into a new, well-partitioned one.- Picked up new technologies, including Ruby on Rails, Rspec, CircleCI, DataDog, LogEntries (now Rapid7), Ansible, and Terragrunt. -
Infra EngineerPrezi Oct 2016 - Aug 2018BudapestI caught the DevOps train!I was doing awesome and amazing things, like creating/maintaining Prezi's infrastructure on AWS, building critical backend services and provide tooling for my fellow developers. Joining Prezi was a huge change for me both technology- and domain-wise, but it was 100% worth it. I had the chance to work with amazing technologies, such as services provided by AWS, like EC2, Elastic Beanstalk, RDS, DynamoDB, SQS, SNS - just to name a few, Docker to build containerised apps, Python/Django for backend service development, Graphite/Kibana/Grafana for monitoring and more. -
Senior Software EngineerEpam Systems Sep 2013 - Oct 2016Szeged, HungaryI was working on one of the biggest online travel agencies SEO/SEM websites. Started out as a junior developer, I grew into leading a team of 10. I met tons of challenges along the way that inherently made me a better professional and person.I mostly worked with Java 7 + Spring 3.0, but did a fair share of Groovy on Grails programming as well. The team's focus was neither on front end nor back end, it was a little bit of both, so I also used some vanilla JS and CSS for client-side programming supported by FTL for dynamic HTML generation. I also filled the hats of Tech lead and Scrum master over the years, mentoring and coaching new-comers while also focusing on process improvements in the team. -
Software DeveloperMiniform Kft. Jun 2011 - Sep 2013Szeged, HungaryStarted out as a hands-on Software Tester, but switched to Software Developer after my first month. Next to the Development Lead, I was the only coder working at the company. My primary focus was on developing B2B mobile applications for governmental entities, but I also did some work on web services and databases.I was mainly working with Android/Java and Windows CE/.NET 2.0 + C#, with a touch of PHP and MySQL.
