Mentor students on education, training and employment opportunities and build relationships with local businesses to support students seeking employment after high school. Counsel students in class on issues with parents and refer to school counselor when we can't resolve the issue in a brief timely manner in class.Instructional classes include: Flexible Manufacturing, Advanced Flexible Manufacturing, Problems and Solutions in Manufacturing, Principals of Manufacturing, and Engineering Graphics and Design. Serve at ARDs as the Career and Technology Education representative to assist with course selections based on student's interests. Help students develop trade skills such as reading blue prints, CNC equipment operation, wood and metal working tools, and welding. Certified by Richland Junior College to teach dual credit Technology Education classes.

Managed and instructed students in a traditional shop environment. Equipment in this shop included table saw, scroll saw, mini lathe, miter saw, radial arm saw, planer, and band saw. While in this position I successfully introduced sheet metal tool boxes a project that many schools had abandoned for many years. I also developed a shaker flashlight, having the kids wind their own coils and assemble inside a clear PVC tube so the students could see what was going on inside.

CIT is a non-profit counseling center that provides counseling services on a sliding scale fee basis. In this position I counseled walk in clients on a variety of issues including depression, stress and marital problems. I also assisted a specialized counselor in a curriculum driven program for court ordered counseling groups. My responsibilities with this group included contacting probation and parole officers and serving as a liaison for paper work between the counselor for this group and the agency.
