After moving back to Jammu, started as a consultant to G-MAX IT SERVICES. Following was my role:➡ Laying the future road map for the company.➡ Providing technical guidance on projects being executed.➡ Providing software solutions for the projects undertaken by the company.

Under my Sr. Software Manager role, I was heading the Unified Services Routers (USR) vertical for D-Link. My job was to provide end to end delivery of the products by directly involving with PPs from D-Link headquarters, Taiwan. I managed a team (20+ engineers). After TeamF1 was acquired by D-Link, I was heading the Unified Services Routers (USR) vertical for D-Link. My job was to provide end to end delivery of the products by directly involving with PPs from D-Link headquarters, Taiwan. Under my software engineering role, I worked with the team working on TeamF1's Secure Gateway Solution 1.0 (SGS) and SGS 2.0 for routers. Following are the products I was involved:➡ Netgear FVX-538, Netgear FVS-338‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾✔ Ported various open source and GPL components to Intel’s XScale architecture.✔ Testing and bug fixing.➡ Kentrox W100 and other SKUs‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾✔ Brought up the BSP on Kentrox platform.✔ Ported TeamF1’s SGS 1.0 to Kentrox platform.✔ Wrote drivers for LEDs, factory reset.✔ Wrote 3G framework with the extensive AT/CNS commands to support Cingular (AT&T), Sprint and Verizon.✔ Hacked ppp driver, card drivers (Sierra Wireless/Option) as well as pppd module extensively to increase the reliability of 3G.✔ Bug fixing.✔ Responsible for customer releases.➡ Metalink GPV-236 and four other SKUs‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾✔ Brought up the BSP.✔ Ported SGS 2.0 to Metalink (Star Semiconductors) platform.✔ Designed and wrote TeamF1’s network interface management framework for SGS 2.0).✔ Wrote various drivers needed for the products.✔ Bug fixing.✔ Responsible for customer releases.➡ Alphion ONT‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾✔ Ported TeamF1’s SGS 2.0 to Intel’s x86 platform.✔ Worked on design for software based NAT acceleration (xlr8NAT).
