Activate Care has launched a program, Path Assist, designed to screen Medicaid beneficiaries for social needs and, for those who screen positive and enroll in the program, connect them to our own Community Health Workers (CHWs). The CHWs work with clients to connect them to resources, while coaching them along the way. This is 360 degree solution, of which the company's flagship SaaS platform is just one element. As we have built out this solution I have worked on a range of projects in software, communications, and operations that have client or CHW-facing components. These have included: - Conceiving, planning, and executing research projects into CHW experiences on the job and Medicaid beneficiaries' experiences using technology to navigate complex systems- Researching the foundational elements of a Health-focused SMS Messaging Program, with a focus on txt4baby.org- Developing accessibility-oriented personas, based on interviews with individuals who use assistive technologies to access digital media and research into inclusive design practices- Conducting internal stakeholder interviews and workshops to scope projects and create alignment- Building customer journey maps, service blueprints, and other artifacts to facilitate collaboration across departments- Planning and running usability testing for all kinds of software projects - Conducting usability audits

Co-develop content for two graduate-level semester courses taught by Srikant M. Datar: (1) The Design Thinking & Innovative Problem Solving course teaches students to think more innovatively about unstructured and difficult problems. The course tools empowers students to design whatever is within their control—products, services, experiences, processes or business models—for the benefit of end users, organizations and other stakeholders. Craft pedagogy that positions the qualitative approach to user experience research as a valuable complement to rigorous, quantitative analyses of business questions.(2) The Managing with Data Science course provides MBA students with no programming experience an introduction to the field of data science and its applications in business. Students learn to (1) carefully articulate the business ask, (2) reason carefully from the ask, through metrics and models, and outputs, and (3) evaluate outputs from models to (4) develop a plan for action.

TAPs convene a group of planning and development professionals who provide pro bono recommendations to public officials and local stakeholders facing complex land use challenges for individual sites or districts. Sometimes state and federal stakeholders are included in the process. I have authored reports for TAPs held in Springfield, Gardner, Fitchburg, Fall River, and Haverhill, Pittsfield, and Lawrence, MA, as well as Exeter, RI and Northeast Harbor, ME.
